HOW WE WORK

Through relational, arts-based, and somatic explorations, we will slow down and get curious about our own internal experience.

We will notice the stories we tell ourselves, uncover patterns and limiting beliefs, explore safety and trust, follow creative impulses, learn what it means to take risks, and grow our relational edges.

We draw on Expressive Arts Therapy (ExAT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Nature & Forest Therapy (ANFT), and body-based therapies.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This group is for anyone feeling stuck, disconnected, or longing to feel more alive. Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to explore yourself in relationship with others while receiving the support of a small, consistent community.

It can also be a more accessible and affordable way to engage in psychotherapy than individual therapy alone.

WHY GROUP THERAPY?

Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to explore yourself in relationship with others while receiving the support of a small, consistent community.

It can also be a more accessible and affordable way to engage in psychotherapy than individual therapy alone.

Vanessa (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Expressive Arts Therapist, and yoga teacher who supports people in slowing down, reconnecting with themselves, and building emotional grounding through somatic awareness, mindfulness, and creative exploration. Her approach is down-to-earth, relational, and curiosity-driven, drawing inspiration from the ancient traditions of yoga, parts work, and the rhythms of the more-than-human world. Amália/Emily - “I am grateful to be able to live and work in Tkaronto. I  recognize this land to be the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat. I acknowledge that Tkaronto is covered by Treaty 13 and that while I am on this land I must know and live the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreements to honour all beings that live in this land.
